Last Call! Bring Your Hand to the Buttery Bar and Let It Drink!

FLATWATER SHAKESPEARE COMPANY'S “TWELFTH NIGHT”
COMPLETES ITS TOUR OF LINCOLN, JULY 5 – 8

The award-winning Flatwater Shakespeare Company finishes its Summer 2012 tour this weekend. These are your last opportunities to see this completely charming open-air production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.

Directed by
Bob Hall, Twelfth Night will run Thursday through Sunday evenings, July 5 - 8 at four additional Lincoln area parks and other outdoor venues. Show time is 7 p.m. Last year's production and tour of A Midsummer Night's Dream earned Flatwater Shakespeare a Mayor's Arts Award for Outstanding Event.

Call 402-473-2897 for performance information.

Critics and audiences love the production, which was first staged at the Lincoln Community Foundation Garden. The Lincoln Journal Star calls it “a lighthearted jaunt that easily enfolds those watching it into its merry festival spirit.” “It is bright, clear, sparkling, and absurdly funny,” wrote one audience member. “I watched as if seeing and hearing the play for the first time: it honestly seemed brand new.”

A recent audience member added:
"If you haven't seen this summer's production of *Twelfth Night*, don't miss your last opportunity to see it this week. I haven't seen comedy done this well since I saw the Capitol Steps in D.C. or Second City in Chicago. I know, I know: they are improv groups. But this season's *Twelfth Night* is that raucous, l-o-l funny!"
The Lincoln Community Foundation generously supported the production and the Woods Charitable Fund is supporting the tour, which is presented in cooperation with The Lincoln Department of Parks and Recreation, First Plymouth Church, and Wyuka Cemetery.

In keeping with its mission to connect new audiences with classic theater, Flatwater Shakespeare is offering admission to all performances free of charge. Ivanna Cone is even providing free ice cream, with a special flavor inspired by the show: “Belch's Buttery Bar Delight”!

A freewill donation of $10 is suggested, but the policy is – donate what you can, just give Shakespeare a try.

Please bring blankets, chairs, or cushions. Accessible restrooms are available at all locations.

This Weekend's Tour Schedule:
July 5 – First Plymouth Church (20th and D)
July 6 – Havelock Park (62nd and Havelock)
July 7 – Irvingdale Park (19th and Van Dorn)
July 8 – Bethany Park (66th and Vine)

Come join the fun under the stars!
