In the Top Ten of the Aughts!
The 2006 Flatwater Shakespeare Company production of The Comedy of Errors at the Swan was one of only ten local performances named “Best of the 2000s” in the Lincoln Journal Star – the competition included classical music, jazz, folk, and dance, as well as theater. Another production so honored was the Haymarket Theatre’s Pride and Prejudice in 2004, also directed by Bob Hall. “Of Note” (or runner-up) shows included the 2003 Haymarket Hamlet featuring Jeremy Kendall in the title role; readers nominated Flatwater’s 2008 “Spaghetti Western” version of The Taming of the Shrew with Melissa Lewis Nuss and George Hansen.
Many thanks to all our contributing artists and to all our supporters. Flatwater is looking forward to the next decade already, with a 2010 Season of
Harold Pinter's The Homecoming,
William Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona,
and his Antony and Cleopatra.
Stay tuned in the Teens!
