We're Back . . .

As Flatwater Shakespeare prepares to stage Romeo and Juliet under the stars at the Swan at Wyuka, we want to revisit some highlights from earlier in our 2006 Season of Fire and Fun.

Our production of The Comedy of Errors attracted glowing reviews and packed houses. The Lincoln Journal Star praised the show's "wonderful balance between the Bard's marvelous word play and the cast's frisky playing of the script's lines." Special applause was awarded to Dave Owens and Larry Mota as the Antipholus twins, to Sean Schmeits and Darin Hemmer as the Dromio twins, to Amy Jirsa as Adriana, Andrea Swartz as Luciana, Brad Boesen as the Goldsmith and as Dr. Pinch, Dick Nielsen as a Francophone Second Merchant, and Margy Ryan as the formidable Abbess.

The show ran from June 8 to June 25 and was a Pick of the Week in the Omaha Reader.
