Top Ten Once Again

Yet again, a Flatwater Shakespeare Company production has made the Lincoln Journal Star's Top Ten list -- this time for 2008. Jeff Korbelik praises our The Taming of the Shrew, focusing on how "George Hansen and Melissa Lewis-Nuss gave theatergoers the definitive battle between the sexes in Shakespeare's classic comedy."

And Flatwater performers gained accolades for some of their other work, as well. Judith K. Hart (the Duchess of York in Richard III) is honored as actor in the Nebraska Repertory Theatre's production of The Cripple of Inishmaan and as director for the Lincoln Community Playhouse version of Lost in Yonkers. Ryan Kathman, who played Laertes in the Haymarket production of Hamlet directed by Bob Hall in 2003, has been noted for his work in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Theatre staging of An Experiment with an Air Pump.

Many thanks to all our actors and artists and volunteers -- and to all our supporters -- for another wonderful year.
