FSC 2015 Open Auditions: March 28 and 30

Flatwater Shakespeare Company's 2015 Plays:  
As You Like It and Hamlet.

Dates of  Auditions:  
Saturday March 28, 2015 – 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Monday March 30, 2015 – 7:00PM – 9:00 PM 

Location:  
Room 16 – Lower level, Temple Building
12^th and R St. on the UNL campus.  
Enter through the south entrance on 12^th St.

As You Like It opens June 4 and runs four weekends, Thursdays through Sundays, at 7:00 PM through June 28. This is our “Free in the Parks” tour, which begins with a week at The Swan Theatre in Wyuka Cemetery and then plays at various open-air locations throughout Lincoln. Actors will be expected to help with set up and take down at these locations. All actors will receive $400. Rehearsals will start April 26.

The parts of Rosalind, Touchstone, and Jaques have been cast. There are fifteen other great roles available.

Hamlet opens Sept. 17 and runs at The Swan Theatre at Wyuka Cemetery for three weekends, Thursdays through Sundays, at 7:00 PM through Oct. 4. Actors will receive $300.  Rehearsals will begin approximately August 3.

Hamlet and Polonius have been cast. There are twelve to fifteen other great roles available.

You can perform one or two memorized Shakespearean speeches of your choice. If you haven’t time to memorize two speeches, or if you feel your memorization is shaky, you may read your speech. If you are too unfamiliar with Shakespeare to feel comfortable selecting a speech, we will provide some monologues at the auditions.

If you have them, please bring a picture and resume – however, the important thing is to show up. We’ll help with the rest.
